Our History

Our active presence in the food service industry began in 1964, and our establishment’s history and tradition now span over half a century.

It all started when the Tasis family moved from Ioannina to Athens, aiming to bring a piece of Epirus’s taste and tradition to the city. Finding fertile ground in the center of Athens, on Fokionos Negri Street, they opened the doors of “Spitiko” for the first time. Initially, it offered daily traditional, handmade Epirus pies, which soon became a beloved part of daily life for the residents.

Continuing to add more choices to our menu and offering a wide variety of flavors, we started making warm sandwiches and delicious pizza with pure ingredients, becoming a staple for Athenians. Over time, the quality of our ingredients and the taste of our dishes increased the love and trust of the people towards us, and our store began to grow, welcoming more and more people.

Thus, we endured over time, tirelessly offering quality flavors and services daily. Today, at our kitchen labs at Hanion and Patission Streets, all the products we provide are still handmade, just like in the old days.

From breakfast, brunch, salads, and our traditional pies to Greek traditional dishes, fresh ice cream, and coffee, our menu changes and adapts daily to ensure you always find the taste you desire, with the quality you deserve.
